PVC Geomembrane
PVC geomembranes are manufactured using polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the primary polymer, combined with plasticizers, stabilizers, and additives. These sheets possess properties such as high flexibility, adequate strength against cold and heat, suitable elongation, resistance to acids and alkalis, fire resistance, and long-term durability, making them more widely applicable compared to other waterproofing materials.
PVC geomembrane sheets are produced in thicknesses of 1.2, 1.5, 2, and 3 mm, in roll form with a width of 2.1 meters, with each roll covering approximately 55 square meters. This product complies with Germany’s ZTV standard and is the only one in Iran certified for 100-year durability by Russia’s Rosatom company.
Advantages
- Significantly higher flexibility compared to other geomembranes
- High resistance to tearing and puncturing
- Excellent weldability
ApplicatioExcellent weldability ns
PVC geomembranes are extensively used in road construction and tunnel engineering. According to global standards, these sheets are mandatory for use in metro tunnels. They are also required in building foundations and excavations to prevent ground moisture from penetrating structures.
